Welcome to Northampton Croquet Club
We are a well-established croquet club with players ranging from beginners to experts with UK rankings. We play at our beautiful site in centre of the village of Roade, just south of Northampton. We have four lawns, three of them full-size, and a modest clubhouse. We play both codes, golf and association croquet.
Most of our social play is at our golf croquet mix-ins. These are full mixed-ability sessions. Members draw lots for partners and opponents and play doubles, perhaps two or three games. The Sunday mix-ins allow you to take part if you have working day commitments. The club is open for members to play seven days a week. Play continues through the winter, at a reduced level.
The club runs various competitions and also enters teams in regional leagues. Friendlies are played against other clubs, and many members enter open competitions at other clubs or even travel abroad to play.
New players are warmly welcomed. We provide all the equipment, coaching, and playing facilities you’ll need to get going. The club runs a ‘Buddy’ scheme to help you understand the game, coach you in basic skills and give guidance on playing.
Croquet is a great sport and our club provides a wonderful environment to enjoy it both socially and competitively.

Northampton Croquet Club is a registered charity registered in England and Wales as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, charity number 1191519. Its registered address is Northampton Croquet Club, The Leys, Roade, Northampton NN7 2NR
Croquet Organisations
The club is a member of the East Anglian Croquet Federation, which coordinates clubs in the region, and organises leagues, development and coaching throughout East Anglia.
We’re also a member club of Croquet England, which is the governing body for croquet throughout England and Wales.
