Roade lawns looking good

Lawns 1 and 2 have been seeded and are growing well. We have started work on lawns 3 and 4. Lawn care equipment has been purchased including reconditioned cylinder mower and paddock mower.

Roade Update

‘Take off to Roade’ Crowdfunding campaign has now closed, and with Sport England’s contribution of £10,000 we have raised over £20,000 towards the cost of of new lawns.

Many thanks to those who donated.

First grant received

We have secured our first grant and are busy working on other applications especially grants for larger sums of money for the groundwork for the Roade site.

We are going to need members ideas and support to secure more funds, so if you have a fundraising idea, contact a committee member.

Northampton win Nene/Nene Challenge

A bit of croquet fun started by Paul Hetherington of Peterborough has hit mainstream media! He wanted to get a bit of publicity for a friendly match between our clubs and the Nen/Neene pronunciation of our common river. It’s a fun story to raise a smile in these times. Most importantly Northampton claim the bragging rights, by winning the croquet.
